📉 Cutting & Optimization 3
How does BoreshSaz optimize part placement on sheets?
BoreshSaz runs a multi-pass guillotine algorithm: each optimization tries around 200 combinations (6 part orderings × placement strategies × sheet-splitting strategies × rotation) and picks the best — selection criteria: first, all parts must fit; then the fewest sheets; then the least waste. Saw kerf and edge trim are included in the math, so the dimensions on the map are the real cut dimensions. Two goals to choose from: "least waste" or "largest offcut", which gathers waste into one area so a usable piece remains from the sheet.
Does BoreshSaz really reduce sheet waste?
Yes — manual layouts or simple software typically waste 15–25% of a sheet; BoreshSaz's broad combination search cuts that down to a single digit, and in real samples, plans designed for 3 sheets have fit into 2. More important than the number: the largest usable leftover of every sheet is shown on the map with exact kerf-adjusted dimensions and moves to your offcut inventory with one click, to be consumed in the next project — waste becomes capital, not scrap.
Which sheet sizes are supported?
Any size you enter — BoreshSaz is not limited to a fixed list. The default is 1220×2440 mm (the common MDF and particleboard standard), and you can freely change sheet length, width, thickness, kerf and trim per project. Millimeter, centimeter, inch and yard units are supported, and you can paste your parts list straight from Excel — even with Persian digits.
♻️ Offcut Inventory 3
How does a usable leftover get registered in the inventory?
After every optimization, the largest usable leftover is displayed with its real, kerf-adjusted cuttable dimensions. The "Save to inventory" button stores it in your inventory with material name, dimensions and sheet thickness — it's your personal leftover warehouse, with storage location (e.g. shelf B2), material search and deletion. The free plan stores up to 20 offcut records.
Can I lay out a new project on inventory offcuts?
Yes — in sheet settings, set the sheet source to "from offcut inventory" and pick the leftovers you want (with quantities). BoreshSaz's engine consumes the largest offcuts first and only sends the remaining parts to full sheets; offcut sheets are marked with a ♻️ badge on the map. After optimization the inventory is deducted automatically, and re-optimizing never deducts twice.
What happens if I add a new part after optimizing?
The new part is highlighted in yellow in the table, and when you optimize, you're asked: "redo everything on full sheets" (the previous layout is discarded and this project's registered offcuts are automatically removed from the inventory, since they no longer exist) or "only the new parts on inventory offcuts" (previous parts are treated as already cut, and only the new parts are placed on this project's inventory leftovers). This way your inventory always matches the reality of your workshop.
🧾 Reports, Invoices & Exports 3
How are the technical report and invoice generated?
On the "Reports & Invoices" page you pick a project and get a PDF: a multi-page technical report (efficiency stats, sheet maps, paginated parts table) and a formal one-page invoice with a number, seller/buyer details, sheet and PVC band line items, and the grand total. The free plan puts a diagonal watermark on pages; the Pro plan gives clean output.
Can I estimate material costs per project?
Yes — in the invoice you enter the price per sheet and per meter of PVC band, and BoreshSaz computes the exact total from the sheet count and PVC footage calculated from the map, plus customer, phone and notes fields. For a quick pre-contract estimate the same page is enough: check the sheet count and efficiency and multiply by today's prices.
Which export formats do I get? Is CNC supported?
DXF export (standard R12 with separate layers for sheets, parts and PVC bands) usable directly for CNC and laser cutting; high-quality PNG export of the map (color or black & white); and direct printing that fits each sheet on a separate A4 page. CSV and SVG exports are on the roadmap.
💳 Account, Plans & Getting Started 3
What are the free plan limits? How much is Pro?
The free plan is genuinely enough to start: 15 saved projects, up to 150 parts per project, 20 offcut inventory records, and all optimization features. The Pro plan at 800,000 Toman per month (or 7.68M Toman per year with 20% off) removes the limits, removes output watermarks, and unlocks advanced features like map sharing and 3D design.
Does it need installation or a powerful system? Does it work on mobile?
No — BoreshSaz is a web app: no installation, it runs directly in the browser (Chrome, Firefox, …), which is why it works on any computer or even a tablet or phone with internet. Optimization is lightweight and fast (a few hundred milliseconds for typical projects) and needs no special hardware. Your projects are saved to your account and accessible from any device.
How does sign-up work? Is there a password?
No passwords — you sign in with a mobile number and a one-time code; email login (magic link) and Google account are also supported. The interface has been four languages from day one: Persian, Arabic, English and Turkish — with proper RTL/LTR layout in each.
🚀 Roadmap & Support 3
When is 3D cabinet and kitchen design coming?
It's under construction — the 3D design module (2D Planner map and 3D Designer view) is added to BoreshSaz in the next phase, along with the "cut list → optimization" bridge that completes the workflow: design the kitchen and the parts list flows straight into the cut optimization engine. You can leave your email in the "coming soon" form on the home page to be among the first to know.
What's on the roadmap?
In priority order: built-in payment gateway with automatic Pro activation; a third optimization mode, "fewest cuts" (minimizing the number and length of cut lines — free); true free-form nesting for maximum efficiency in the Pro plan; CSV and SVG exports; and SEO and educational content improvements. Priorities are set based on user feedback.
How do support and training work?
Since BoreshSaz needs no installation and has a simple Persian-first interface, learning it usually takes minutes — this FAQ page and the built-in sample tool ("load sample") are enough to get started. Questions, bug reports and suggestions are handled through the BoreshSaz Telegram channel (t.me/Advanced_boys).
